One of my Favorite Sailing Books

The book "A World Of My Own" by Robin Knox-Johnson was one of the first sailing books I ever read back in 1996. Since then I've read it again twice!

It so impressed on my mind the first time I read it that I read it again a year ago and then again recently. That's the way some books are. They have such good content that you have to go back and check it out again and again!

I still remember the first time I read the book. There was a scene where he was still not too far across the Atlantic and got in a horrible storm. I remember how he dealt with the fear of his situation by just dealing with one situation at a time - allowing the routine of the job he was doing to subdue his need to panic.

There are a hundred more reasons why I like this book but I'll let you find those! Needless to say, it's a great sea story and completely true. Look for the picture link on this page to find it on Amazon.
